MONTHLY CHAPTER MEETINGS
Our next meeting will be a dinner on Thursday, November 9th, at 1800 hours at Interurban Restaurant,
Ed Noble Parkway and West Lindsey. Guest speaker TBA.
Our May meeting was devoted to the election of Officers and Board members for the coming program year.
Elected were President John Fishel, Vice President Chris Sartorius, Secretary Kim Fishel, Treasurer Bob Kopecky,
Surviving Spouse Liaison Barbara Bowman, Membership Chair Ralph Austin, Legislative Liaison Bill Mercer,
Webmaster Lee Bond, Board Member at Large Brad Gambill, and Board Member Emeritus Al Patrick.
During our 2016 September meeting at the Olive Garden, the award recipients from the ROTC Detachments
were presented their $500 scholarship checks. The three Detachment Commanders provided brief background information
on the awardees. We welcomed Capt. Lyle Hall, USN, the new commander of the Naval ROTC Unit, and welcomed back
Col. Bruce Smith, USAF, commander of the Air Force ROTC Detachment
and Lt Col. Kyle Brede, USA, Commander of the Army ROTC Unit.

The Norman Chapter meets monthly, with the exception of June, July, and August, on the second Thursday of the month. Meetings may be at breakfast,lunch or dinner, and at various locations in Norman. Please check this site regularly for meeting times and locations.
Meetings begin at 0930 for breakfast, 1100 for lunch and 1800 hours for dinner. The meal follows the social gathering by 30 minutes, with the Program after the meal.
